Brego Claims his Father's Land « Thread Started on Aug 5, 2007, 11:04pm »
Brego was walking through the beautiful valley. His Father was right beside him. His Father, Marthenus used to be the leader of this land, but was a very old Stallion now; on the verge of death. Marthenus was the first horse ever to claim the land. The old herd was taken over by an evil stallion, but strangely the stallion did not claim the land for his own.
"It's yours now, Brego," Marthenus said to him. He ducked his head and lifted it again. "Claim the land." Brego was very excited, but sad at the same time. He reared up as high as he could and neighed for all to hear. He stompped his hooves back down to the ground.
"Brego, son of Marthenus here by claims this land for his own! He will be a noble Stallion for a great Mare and a great herd! I shall name my herd Quenya! Anyone is welcome to join, and live in this beautiful valley!" Brego shouted across the land. He reared again and stomped, then looked up at his father. Marthenus bowed to his son.
"You did well, Brego," he started. "But I must go now. I expect you will do very well here. Goodbye son." Marthenus put his neck around Brego's neck and gave him a hug. He then walked off into the distance. Brego looked back, full of grief. It was the last time he would ever see his father. Suddenly, he heard whinnie, and up a hill he could see Lacey.
"Lacey!" he said now galloping up the hill and meet her. "It's so great to see you!" Lacey bowed to Brego.
"I would like to join your herd," she said as she gazed up at him. Brego bowed back.
"And you shall be my Mare!" he said. They galloped down the hillside and began to graze in the valley; waiting for more herd members to join.

Silver Lining
The dappled mare wandered into the land, by accident, but she loved it. She lifted her graceful tiara up and smelled three horses on the land. One was old. Probably, now, the former leader of this land and two younger horses. A mare and a stallion. A flame of hope was lit in her heart as she went out to find these horses. Maybe she could finally be part of a herd!
She finally found them on a hill, talking. She approached carefully, her crown raised. She reached them and bowed in respect to them. "Hello. My name is Silver Lining, but please call me Silver. I've been looking for a herd for two years. May I join yours?" She lifted her emerald pools and waited patiently for their answer.

Brego perked himself up happily.
"Why of course you can ma lady!" Brego said bowing back to the mare. "I'm Brego the lead stallion, and this is my Mare, Lacey." Lacey took a slight bow like the other two to Silver.

"Oh, I was wandering around, as I have since I left my father's herd. And came across this beautiful land. I was jaded of living by myself and wanted to find a herd to call home and then I found you. Thank you so much for letting me stay, M'lord and lady." She said, once more bowing.

Hesitently the young gray mare trotted onto the land and sniffed the air. She had only just recently left her fathers herd and was hoping to join a new one soon. Flipping up her lip she inhaled the scent useing flehman and analyzing everything it told her. There was the scent of an old stallion but it was stale, and three younger horses a stallion and two mares. Nervously she approached the stallion, "Hello" she said in her soft melodius voice "My name is Silver Lexicon, Lexie for short, may i please join your herd?"
